Kay Mull began bowling while serving as a Lieutenant
then Captain in the United States Air Force; stationed in Germany at the time,
Kay was termed the best woman bowler in Europe, was a member of the 1955 USAFE
Women's All-Star Bowling Tournament Championship Team as well as doubles
and all-events champ and singles runner-up.  She was also the
outstanding bowler in the Germany-Austria tournament winning singles
with a 602, doubles with a 1050 and all events with a 1683.
In 1956 Kay moved to Washington, D.C. resigning her commission and
taking a civilian job.  In June 1961, Kay set a new National Record
bowling 214, 256 and 279 for a series total of 749, in the Peterson
Scratch Singles League at Tenpin Coliseum in Alexandria, VA.  She
entered the league with a 169 average. Kay joined the Apple Valley USBC WBA
Board in 1974 and has held numerous positions on the board until present.
She was inducted into the Apple Valley USBC WBA Hall of Fame on November 7, 1981.
Kay has bowled in 49 VS USBC WBA Tournaments and 23 VS USBC WBA Senior
Tournaments, representing Virginia State in 1993 National Senior
Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She has served as an Assistant
Sgt-at-Arms and has served on the State Nominating and Credentials
committees.  Kay has bowled in 32 National Tournaments and has been a convention
delegate for 24 years.  In September 1993 Kay won the NABI Tournament
at Terrace Lanes in Frederick, MD, beating a MAN 218 to 199 and guess what--
she was 73 years old!  Kay Mull loves and is very dedicated to the sport of
bowling and very deserving of the VA State USBC WBA Hall of Fame honor for
